Elder Danny Raines, Pastor
I was born and raised in
Lebanon
Tennessee.
My family attended Town
Creek Missionary
Baptist
Church in
Lebanon. It was under the preaching
of
Bro. E.L. Wainscott at Town Creek that I heard the
gospel message and realized I was lost and in need of salvation. I was saved
at the age of 13. I presented myself for membership of Town Creek Missionary
Baptist church at the age of 14 and was baptized by Bro. Wainscott.
The Lord called me to
preach at the age of 16 during a Revival at Town Creek while I was sitting
on the back seat of the Amen corner. I ran from the call for almost 12
years. It was on February 14, 1990 that God broke me down and I surrendered
to the call into the ministry.
At this time I was a
member of Old
Paths Missionary
Baptist
Church
in
Lebanon. I preached my first sermon in
March 1990 at Old Paths.
I was called to Pastor
by Madison
Missionary
Baptist
Church in 1992. I
was ordained by Old Paths August 29, 1992. I left Madison Church in March
1995.
I was called to Pastor
by Caney Fork
Missionary
Baptist
Church in Smith
County Tennessee in December 1995. I left
Caney Fork
in August 2012.
I
was called to Pastor by Longview
Missionary
Baptist
Church
and my first day at
Longview
was August 26, 2012.
My family is wife Marsha and our two children Jennifer
and Austin.
Marsha and I dated in High School and were married
shortly after graduation.
